I have been to Pigeon Key for a week(8th grade Gamble thing), and let me just say, I LOVED IT! I'll admit, at first I was nervous, but seeing as how my brother has been through it, I pushed myself to the new experiences I would soon progress through. I'm not kidding when I say that everything I've done was enjoyable and awesome! By the end of this trip, I couldn't believe all the stuff I've done because before I didn't think that I could do it. I really can't express how much of a change I have developed in myself. *A tip is to STAY POSITIVE!!!!!

The ramp is "closed for repairs." Took our bikes down the 2.4 mile bridge only to find that the off-ramp to get on Pigeon Key is closed for repairs. No one was working on it and it didn't seem in worse shape than the last time I visited. It seems like a way to get people to pay for the ferry that brings you to the island instead of walking or biking.

If your interested in the history of the railroad that Henry Flagler built to Key West then this a must visit. Pigeon Key was one of the work camps for the construction of the Seven Mile Bridge. They have some of the original buildings with information and artifacts about the bridge and the camp. Right now as of 6/17 the only way to get to the key is by boat as the "bridge" is undergoing Restoration and repairs.

We(Westminster Academy) spent three days on the island with our 5th grade field trip, the staff was amazing with our students. Extremely knowledgeable and very patient with all of our questions. I know the kids will be talking about this experience for years to come, they are already asking when can we go back! Thank you again so much for your hospitality, you all went above and beyond to make our stay one to remember!

We took the ferry here with the tour. It costs $12 per person and is suited for any age. The tour is not super thrilling but it's alright. The guide is friendly and entertaining. It takes about 2,5 (including ferry back and forth) and you get some time by yourself to wander around the small island.
